Wrong COLOR PALETTES on some Imagine Cartridges

Provocraft has found that the solid color palette on some of the following cartridges is not accurate. Not all of them have this problem, but you can compare the solid colors displayed on the right side of the pattern palette with the colors in your handbook to see if you have an incorrect cartridge. The cartridges are:

Ancestry
Audrey
Snapshot: Texture
Mystical Garden
Hopscotch

If you find that the colors do not match, please contact PC's customer service for a free replacement.

NURSERY TALES: Hoppy Birthday Card

Hello Everyone!

Alot of you had questions about the first Imagine update.  So, let me start by saying that the update took me all of about 30-40 minutes from start to finish.  It was a two part update, with the second part being content.

Photobucket

Now, for this cute little birthday card that I made with NURSERY TALES.

Here's a little video on how I made this card that will also show you how to resize your images on the Imagine machine:

Click HERE if you have any problems viewing the video above.

Of course I used a MY PINK STAMPER stamp from her BUGGY PUNNIES set! Click HERE to see Robyn's whole line of stamps and where you can get them too!

Buggy Punnies

I've got some cute projects planned for you all this week and I'm working on a video page that will host nothing but video tips & tricks for the Imagine... so see ya later!

First IMAGINE Update NOW AVAILABLE!

Good Morning Everyone!!

I have good news and bad news for you all...

GOOD NEWS:  the first IMAGINE update is now available!  Click on   http://www.cricut.com/imagine/support.aspx to download the 'CricutSync' software to your computer!  Then connect the Imagine to your computer with the white computer cord that came with it.  Its a long one, so hopefully you won't have to move your Imagine in order to do it.

BAD NEWS:  So far the CricutSync software is only compatible for PCs.   I know... I know... I can hear the cursing and screaming now.  Please be patient MAC users... I believe they are in the process of adding the MAC version too.  I will try to get more information on that and share it with you as soon as I can!

I completed my update... it was painless and did not take very long at all.  So, now I'm going to go play with it and see what changes I can find!  I'll update with more information tomorrow!  Happy Saturday everyone!

Imagining always,

Tammy

EMAIL Subscription is NOW AVAILABLE!

I was finally able to add the FEEDBURNER Email Subscritions here!!  Look over on the right hand column and you will see it above the FOLLOWERS box.  It's really simple... just click on it and enter your email, enter the scrambled word for security purposes and submit.  You will get an email in your inbox that you will need to click on for verification.  That is so someone can't purchase your email on a list and just enter it without your knowledge.  I've set up these emails just like the emails from my Creative Critters Cricut Club blog... they will be sent only when I have new content on the blog (which is alot!) and will always go out first thing in the morning (between 6am and 9am CST).  I generally schedule all my posts to release after midnight, so that I am catching that early morning email... but sometimes I post to the blog after the morning email was released... and that post will be sent to you the next day.  Okay?  Just let me know if you have any questions or have any problems with signing up for the emails!

BEST FRIENDS: BFF Scrapbook Layout

Hello Everyone!!

I've got a scrapbook page from the new BEST FRIENDS cartridge to share with you!

Photobucket

If you were one of the thousands who ordered your Imagine machine from HSN, then you got this HSN exclusive cartridge with it.  It's such a cute cartridge, with a color scheme that matches the Imagine More cartridge.  All very muted, almost retro.  The dolls on this cartridge have a personality of their own.

Photobucket

SUPPLIES:
1- 12x12 Black Coredinations Cardstock
1 - 5x6 Black Coredinaitons Cardstock
2 - 12x12 Textured Coredinations Cardstock
6 - Jillibean Soup Buttons
1 - 12" Black Tulle
Light pink floss (for buttons)

TOOLS:
Cricut Imagine Machine
Imagine Best Friends Cartridge
Paper Trimmer
White Signo Pen

Photobucket

There are several dolls to choose from and you have the option of printing/cutting the whole doll, body and all or just the dolls' heads, like I did here.

Photobucket

These are not paperpieced... they are a flat print/cut.
Photobucket

The Imagine machine also allows you to customize the border that appears around your images.  I put a thicker black border (.06") around my page title and a .10 green border around the background image.  My background page was done using the topnote from the machine's basic shapes and I flooded it with a pattern from the BEST FRIENDS cartridge.
Photobucket

I'm still playing around with the machine and learning as I am sure alot of you are.  Robyn, My Pink Stamper, has posted a couple of really good videos today for her IMAGINE THAT WEDNESDAY, go check them out!  They should be really helpful for those of you who just got your machines!

IMAGINE MORE: "Grateful 4U" Card

Happy Monday Everyone!

Wow!  Everyone is getting their IMAGINE machines in the mail and going to town!  If you haven't discovered the Cricut messageboard yet... you've got to click on the new PROVOCRAFT COMMUNITY and go to the second section titled CRICUT... then click on the CRICUT IMAGINE subforum.  If that is too confusing... then just click on CRICUT IMAGINE

Provocraft has a HUGE messageboard community that has been around for years.  It is where I have sought many answers to questions, received endless inspirations & ideas and made some awesome friends that I cherish dearly.  But, that messageboard has been slow and frustrating lately (that's what happens when you get old, lol) and Provocraft has been working hard on upgrading it for awhile now.  Well the upgrade is complete.  So you will find that the links above take you to the new messageboard forums.  Now the old one is still intact, which I was happy to see because there is so much information and ideas there, you could get lost in it.  There is even a CRICUT IMAGINE section that has alot of great info... even though it is new.  So, go check out what everyone is doing with the Imagine at both locations and remember that these ladies have just received their machines this past week and are already creating some masterpieces!  I just love it!

Wanted to leave you with a Thank You card that I made on the Imagine in like 10 minutes!  I'm glad it is a quick card, because I need to make about 50 of them!

This card was made with the IMAGINE MORE cartridge and my DON JUAN.  I printed and cut the card itself and the flower on my IMAGINE machine, but then cut 25 '4U's on my Expression using my Gypsy.  Can't wait for the Imagine to be compatible with the gypsy!  But in the meantime, I've always got my expression!

Here is the backside of the card.  This card is located in the BONUS section of the cartridge.

Well, I'm going to go browse the Imagine forum for a little while and I will be back tomorrow!!

Imagining Always!

Great questions!  Will we be able to use 12x24 mats?  Yes, they are working on that!  Will we ever be able to print edge to edge 12x12?  Yes!!  It is planned for an October update!!  Woo hoo!

GYPSY UPDATE... not going to happen today, but soon!  They will keep us updated!

Matt wants to know what features WE (the Imagine users) want available on the Imagine machine!!  Leave your comments HERE and I will compile them and send them to Tonia!!

IMAGINE WISH LIST

1)  Cynde: An SD slot to download photos. The ability to print and cut out those photos
2)  Christina:  The ability to weld in the machine!!
3)  Samantha:  I WANT TO BE ABLE TO PRINT FULL 12X12!! I am a scrapper and 12X12 is important to me. I would like to be able to hook it to my computer and use it as a wide format printer and print FULL 12X12
4)  Carrie:  I was thinking that I would want the 12x12 full print - that's awesome that they are working on it.
5)  KDBrown:  The ability to control the cutting...like the hide contour feature in CDS. So you can really combine cutting and printing together
6)  Lauren:  I would love the option to move my blade (I know it's coming).  Also, I would love to be able to create my own pattern...for example, make the base color green and then add polka dots on top of that in any color I want. Hope that makes sense
7)  Scrapperbecka:  Thanks for posting. I would like the option to move the blade also, and to be able to cut multiple carts on a single layout
8)  Kathy:  The ability to weld and hide on the machine (no Gypsy needed) would be nice
9)  Jovan:  I would love to have a imagine type design studio. I want to be able to use my fonts to type right in my images on my carts. That's what I had hope a printing and cutting machine would be.
10)  AnneMaflan:  A place to store an infinite amount of RGB codes so I don't have to reenter them every time I need to reuse a particular code.  A future firmware update that will allow me to be able to choose my colors using either RGB OR CYMK codes.  A future firmware update that will allow me to use the font library I already own to journal directly onto my Imagine projects.
11)  Kate:  Ohhh... edge to edge printing!!! Doesn't that sound fantastic?!
12)  Anonymous:  Would love to be able to upload my photos to it and print them individually and right on my scrapbook page; maybe that's what the photo feature will ultimately be for on the Gypsy? :) Also would love to be able to weld

Cricut IMAGINE Project Photos

Hello Everybody!

Rina from Beyond Paper By Rina took some really good photos of projects while at Provocraft in South Jordan, UT that were made with the Imagine.  Since I am compiling all the information about this new machine, I asked her if she would share them here, too (thx Rina!).  I posted the photos large so you can really get a good look at the details.

Talk about inspiration... wow...

RGB Color Codes for DISNEY!!!

Hello Everybody!!

You've GOT to check out the Snow White that Melanie (Courtney Lane Designs) made using the RGB codes on the Imagine!  So cute!  No more using a 12x12 piece of paper for the just right shade of pink for itty bitty lips!  LOL!  The new Imagine will make paperpiecing the Disney images so much easier and faster!

NOTE:  At this time, the Disney images will still need to be 'assembled', but this is a huge improvement over our current methods!

Photobucket

So far, the customizable RGB feature of the Imagine is my favorite part!!  But, I've only had it for four days! LOL!

Imagining always,

CRICUT IMAGINE: Basic Shapes & RGB Color Codes

Hello Everyone!

The CRICUT IMAGINE machine comes with a few shapes actually loaded on the machine. Twenty of them to be exact.   Here they are:

Photobucket
Photobucket
Because I am a 'visual' learner, I printed and cut all 20 of the basic shapes from the Imagine machine.  This way I can pin it up on my bulletin board and it will serve as a reminder of what those shapes are.  I am also including this document for all my 'visual' learner sisters out there:

IMAGINE BASIC SHAPES 1-12

IMAGINE BASIC SHAPES 13-20

Starting with the basics of this machine, I have made a video showing you these shapes and how you would use the RGB customized color feature.  I played with this for a good hour and had a ball!

Click HERE if you cannot see the video above.

Many of you are probably asking what RGB stands for... so here it is in a nutshell:

Definition: A common color mode, RGB stands for the colors of Red, Green, Blue. RGB is the most common color mode used when creating graphics, even though graphics to be commercially printed are eventually converted to CMYK mode, the colors used in printing inks.

Photobucket

What RGB means for us crafters is:  CUSTOMIZED images!  No more looking for the right color blue to match a theme!  Many companies are starting to provide the RGB codes for their products... like STAMPIN UP!  Click HERE to see Samantha's (Scrapmaster's Paradise) post with the chart in it!  I searched online for different RGB color code charts so that I could have a handy guide to use when I wanted to customize my colors on the Imagine.  There were many, but after looking at them all, I decided that I like this one and want to share it with you.

RGB Number Chart.docx

Before you ask why you would want STAMPIN UP's RGB codes, let me explain.  You just used SU's 'Glorious Green' (R-0 G-147 B-120) cardstock to make a card.  You could print have printed the whole sheet of cardstock with the Imagine and then folded it into a card.  But, I already have that cardstock in my inventory, so I'm using it for the card and then printing/cutting my embellishments for the card with my Imagine and I know they will be a perfect match because I have the exact RGB code!  Comprende?
Don't forget that I am giving away a GYPSY bundle (thank you Provocraft!) on Tuesday night!!  If we are able to get 500 followers before then... I just might have to give away TWO Gypsy bundles!!  Yep... you heard me right (did you hear me? hehee) I am so excited and want to spread the word!  That word would be IMAGINE, of course!  You don't have to jump through any hoops in order to be eligible to win, just sign up to 'follow' or subscribe and leave a comment!  But, I would appreciate those who can facebook or post a link to this new blog on your blogs!  I will be setting up an email subscription option for this blog later today, but in the meantime, you can click on the 'Follow' button.

HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE!!
